The Frick Art Reference Library of The Frick Collection
Chief, Collections Management & Access
New York, NY, USA
I am Chief of Collections Management & Access at The Frick Art Reference Library of The Frick Collection, in New York, with previous positions held at the Avery Art & Architectural Library of Columbia University, New York University, the New-York Historical Society, and the University of Arkansas. My academic background includes a BA with Honors in Art History and Archaeology and an MLS, both from the University of Missouri. I'm active in international library consortia, and serve as a member of the advisory groups for Artifex Press, artlibraries.net, The Digital Cicognara Library, and the Getty Research Portal. I'm also one of the principal directors of NYARC (New York Art Resources Consortium) and recently served as the Principal Investigator for a series of grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation that were instrumental in building a pioneering web archiving program for born-digital art resources. I served as president of ARLIS/NA in 2013, and in the same year received the John Jacob Astor Award in Library and Information Studies in Berlin, Germany. I'm currently chair of the ARLIS/NA IRC. One of my goals in attending this conference is to gain information on making our library collections more accessible, especially through digital initiatives.
